The 3rd guitar I built was for my mother when she was 84. She loved it, and played it every day until she was about 91 and too sick to play. She would have me play it for her every time I visited. She passed away in '04. That guitar has a lot of memories.

I must say, the one I built for her can't hold a candle to your dad's. That is a beautiful guitar, and I like all the wood selections. 20 years from now it will really sink in what a special thing you have created.

Again, thanks all for the support. Fun to hear others' stories of giving a guitar to a family member. I am really looking forward to hearing my Dad play this one. I'll report back after Father's day.
