To all Thank you sooo much.

John, Well I agree i am the one with the top in my hand  laughing6-hehe laughing6-hehe But still Its my first, so therefor, eyes that have seen ALOT of tops might perhaps know something more by just looking than what my ears are hearing. But thanks for the kind words. Ive been going back to your Videos as I have caught a stop.
Howard, Thanks ,really good to hear. !!

I'm sure it will be just fine. Like you said it's your first so use it as a starting point. Take lots of notes on what you did, measurements, ect and improve on the next one. Hope I didn't come across gruff....I've had a VERY bad day.... I'll elaborate later.....

John You didn´t come across as gruff, and also we all have those days ones in a while !! :D ;) . I am trying to write down as much as I can !

Chuck. The top sounds great, it rings for like 2 sec after tapping it. So I am pretty happy with how it sounds, "even though its my first, All I have to compare by is my knowledge as a mucisian, and whats I´ve heard on videos from J Mayes, o´brien etc. I think I am close th where it should be, but after all the reading of people writing of guitars imploding etc, I get a bit nervous looking at those thin braces, but again I think thats the way they should be.
I went to a music store a couple of days ago, and lookt down the soundhole on a bourgeois guitar, and the braces on that one was "THIN" really thin, (sides and back) so I think I am good. But like John said and Michael and others to, I´ll use this guitar as a reference for the next build.

Lars.

Is there really a wrong or right? Surely its a case of compromise all along between structutral integrity and lightness to achieve good soundboard vibration? Is is not the case that there are many soultions to this with the differences in bracing contributing to the wonderful variety of tonal characteristics we get from different guitars and their builders? And thats not including the differences between each top?

Lars -

It looks great to me... But, I am about 15 minutes a head of you on my first build (literally :) )

and DANG - those stewmac plans look 1000 times nice than the ones I got from LMII. I am not impressed with them at all!!

Good work and keep us posted as you glue it up (that is what I am getting ready to do)
