By the look of that brace wood you must have a lot more tops stashed away. If your shipment is the same as mine it is very, very, nice wood.
Glad to hear it got there safe and sound.

Thanks Tom, safe and sound, all stickered and stashed. I was a bit nervous as they came by sea.
Couldn't resist running one side though the sander, some nice silking.
Top of my head I have only about 12/14 more tops mixed species, but only a couple of eurospruce wedges, hence the extra bracing.
B & S probably about 20. but will get some more EIR as I only have a couple.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Bummer Glenn, but proof should be no problem.
I suppose they only check at random - I've never heard of this, despite quite a few "furin" purchases.

Jealous/frustrated. I've had an order in with Shane for at least 9 months. I did get a return e-mail the other day asking again what my order was but no other contact or shipping date. I know he's busy but have never had a more frustrating business transaction. Wood looks great - hope to share in your excitement one day.

Larry, I feel for you. 9 months is sheer torture.
