Greetings,

For the most of the last 2 years I have been out of commission due to a fractured back,
With time on my hands I decided to finish this blueprint of a 1930 Panormo
I had started before my back issue. Now, I am pretty much 100% back to good and have actually
started working on this build again. This will give me a chance to "proof" the drawing and make sure
it all works as I intended

As you can see it spans three 36X48 Archetechural size E drawings. I originally started them
as just working drawings but since I had time I decided to do full detailed drawings.

These drawings depict one of Panormo's high end Rosewood guitars "Made in the Spanish Style" with
Mother of Pearl rosette and accents on the bridge.

As you can see they are very detailed. I have included drawings of the wodkboard, side bending pattern for
bending on a pipe I included a form to make laminated linings as well as a router template
for making the V joint.

I am lookng to do something with these blueprints but have not quite figured out what.

I thought about selling them but that is a hastle I really don't want... printing, shipping
and all that..

I thought about donating them to the Guild of American Luthiers which I was a member for some time. But
they will reformat them down to 24X48 for shipping reasons and I would like to keep the full 3 sheets because
there are a lot of notes and details I think need to be included.

I am wondering if anyone has any ideas of what I could do with them.

Yea Yea Yea, I know you are going to say "send them to you"... LOL I don't have a problem with
giving them away but would like to find someplace they can find a home that will do some good.

As I said I am just starting the build and want to make sure the drawings are correct but after
I finish I would like to "set them free"

Thanks,
Bob

Bob,
Fractured back sounds terrible. I had a couple pressure cracks, or something like that on 2 lower vertibrae, (however you spell it, spellcheck works when you KNOW how to spell it!). I was off work for a few weeks. They had just called my back from a 6 month or more layoff, that I thought was permanent.

I don't remember what I did to stay sane then. Just my blog I guess. It looks like you have something good to show from it.

I don't know how much it costs, but you could get pdf's made of them. Selling pdf files of plans is pretty common. What's nice about them is you can print out anything you need as a working copy, and you don't mess up your original; it is safe in a computer or a flash drive. i know nothing about computers.

Detail drawings are nice. Full size drawings a real nice. A Panormo is small enough that the paper size is not crazy; like a cello would be.

I'd buy one.

Ken

Hey Ken,
Yea, it was pretty painful, I fell off a ladder from about 12 feet and landed on concrete. Fortunately I am pretty agil so when I hit the ground I knew enough to roll. I fractured the lowest vertibrea so it was difficult to do much of anything. I found that my office chair was the most comfortable thing to sit in. I figured I may as well finish this drawing to keep me busy. There was nothing the doc could do so I had to just take it easy and not do any lifting (or bending or standing or...) But I am pretty much 100% now and feeling pretty good. My doc was surprized I made it back to 100% (me too)

As I said in my prievous post, I don't have a problem giving these drawing away but was hoping to find a good home for them to maybe help some site out so they could sell them.

I know you and I had talked a while ago via E-mail and remember you said you wanted to build one of these so if you would like I can send you the PDF ( it has all the registration marks to line them up). You can print them out on a regular printer and tape them together. That is what I did and what I am working from now.

Just let me know and I will send them to you. (I think I still have your email address).

Cheers,
Bob
