For those of you interested in real time instruction from Robbie O’Brien, he is again offering his virtual courses (via Zoom) on French polishing and steel string top voicing. They are coming up in March and April. If you are interested, you can Google Robbie and/or his newish website, Lutherie Academy.

I have taken both of these virtual courses, and I loved them both. I learned a whole lot. Traveling to Colorado for a multiple day course is just not feasible for me. The video-recorded courses he offers are excellent. But there is extra value in having real time access to Robbie. The Zoom courses hit a good middle ground between in-person instruction and watching a recording (for these topics, anyway). I can highly recommend these two courses.

I have no affiliation or financial arrangement with Robbie, other than my being a satisfied customer.

Totally agree. I've studied with Robbie in person and the breadth of knowledge, easy personalilty, and great jokes can't be beat.

I took his steel string voicing class last spring.
Good compromise if you can’t get away for in person stuff.
