Up for grabs this time are our last two sinker redwood tops. These have great color and fantastic tap tone. They are extremely light and stiff.

Retail value is $240, but $180 will end the auction early and get free domestic shipping.

The auction ends tomorrow at noon EST.

Wait, stop, FOUL!!!!

I know I have to deal with my own time zone issues, BUT:

I checked last night and the redwood top auction on the Forum index page said "ends Tuesday." Obviously the last auction.

I checked this morning. Still said "ends Tuesday."

Now that the auction is over, the site has changed to "ends Friday."

And no, I was not looking at a cached version of the forum index. All the threads were updated from last night.

Do I need some kind of additional subscription in order to get notices of auctions before they have ended?

I agree with Howard. You should really post the end time for the members on the west coast, seeing as how redwood is from the west coast. [headinwall]

Thanks, but that's not what I'm saying.

Sorry about the miss understanding Howard. I agree with on the change in the ending day.

To Chuck: I was aware that the winner of the auction was a west coast member. But I feel that only posting the ending time of the auction in EST puts us west coast members at a slight disadvantage.

Wasn't this a buyout sort of thing? I don't think the "auction" made it to the end. And being set up this way could a have ended 30 seconds after it was posted?

Sorry I guess I'm confused.

Also, with the "buy it now" price sitting there they can end minutes after they are posted. Gotta be quick to get a good deal!

Exactly this stopped out with the buy it now price. Otherwise it would have ran through Friday at Noon.

We really can't make everyone happy with this. The point of the BIN price was it made it hard for the west coast folks (and international) members to be around at noon EST. We always make the BIN price a good deal, so it isn't like there is a penalty for exercising it.
