Brock and I are very pleased to announce a permenant new feature - OLF Classifieds.

Our members have asked us repeatedly to include this section, but we have always struggled with the question of how to control commercial sellers which would dilute the value of sponsorship, and hurt the overwhelming popularity of our community swap meets. Couple that with our recent goals of developing alternative revenue models for the forum (because realistically the forum can only support a handful advertisers and we have LOTS of new ideas that need funding). And we have come up with a solution that should accomplish all goals and be very successful.

The classifieds area will be the OLF's first paid discussion area. For $11.88 per year (essentially 99 cents per month) you will have access to join in and buy from other members or sell anything you may have lying around gathering dust. (Please try and keep this to lutherie items, guitar stuff, and woodworking tools -- don't sell your motorcycle here.)

Our hope is that participation in this will be VERY successful and we can use the money from this to develop a couple of REALLY exciting new features.... We are not going to say what they are at this point....
but with one of them.... our members can actually earn money from the forum. (got'cha thinking... don't we.. )
