Hi All,

My next guitar will be an L-00. I am currently gathering materials for this guitar. I have the Gibson L-00 plans and was wondering how easy it is to convert from the 24.75" to a 24.9" scale?

- does the sound hole remain in same location?
- Is bridge placement the only thing that will change given the small change, or will the bracing pattern need to be adjusted?

Any insights would be tremendously helpful!!
Thanks!

Glenn

I doubt you will need to do anything but move the bridge .. possibly make the bridge plate a little wider at the back, as the bridge willbe moving back about .075 (half the .150 diff in the scales). Nothing major to worry about here IMO .... you might also need to shortenteh FB by a touch .. depends how it looks at the soundhole and if you like it overhanging, if it does that at all.

As Tony said, You will just be moving the bridge a scosh so no worries.
I used the 24.9 scale on my L-00 and 00-12fret. [:Y:]
