hi Mike
Well, there was I just sitting at my bench at my musical instrument course in college on Nov. 5th waiting for the day to start and wouldn't you know it, a heat attack!
Whisked off for gold star treatment, angioplasty and stent in the plumbing mid heart attack, only thing was not enough morphine so when the “drain rod with the cork screw on the end” touched base I nearly left the planet!.
I seem to be mending fairly well and cant wait to be back at my bench to make lotsa shavings.
Thanks to this forum for keeping me sane with something to focus on.
yours Geordie
Mike, yeah it’s a mini version of the Hernandez i’m building.

Orite Geordie? Glad you're on the mend - I'm sure you'll be back at your bench in no time.
I think I recognise one of the scrawls on your get well card - is that Anniesland College you're studying at by any chance?

Cheers,
Bri

hey all
Steve and Bri thanks for the encouraging words, and Bri, aye it is Anniesland college (Glasgow) with William (Bill) Kelday tutoring guitar making and Paul Hyland on the violins.
I hope to get back to it in the new year and make use of my lovely new LN 51/2 jack plane and set of Japanese chisels, these tools are like real good guitars, once you start using them you don't want to put them down.
yours Geordie

Blimey Geordie, that's a bit of a shock!!! I wondered why you weren't on the forums, lately.......

Glad to see you have recovered so well!! Hope that it's full steam ahead in the new year!
