Hey folks!
I just wanted to post a couple pics of my rosette for number 2. I owe a big thanks to Todd Rose for giving me a few pointers on this. This has not been put together yet and cut out. Just a dry run.

It is Brazilian Cherry, Maple, & Macassar Ebony. In addition there is a pic of the back of the guitar so you can see how the rosette will fit into the whole thing. Build #2 is an OM....3 piece back (Brazilian Cherry Wedge, Maple strips, and Mahogany)....Sitka top.

Anyway check it out.......Rosette all glued up and level sanded and sealed with a little shellac. Not exactly a perfect circle but once I cut it out you won't know that it's previous state was not perfect....

Yes...I will be bordering the rosette with a Macassar Ebony purf line....maybe 20 thou or so. Something that goes well with the small pieces of ebony that are already in the rosette. Right now I am hunting something black to use in the neck lamination. Having trouble with that. I'd like to carry that design theme into the neck.
